By paying the hire fee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure an outfit. We accept cash, bank transfer, or EFTPOS. Payments can be made in person, through the online website or through messages. Pending payments will not be accepted.
- If payment is not fully completed, we reserve the right to refuse the rental.
Cancellation
- All payments are final and non-refundable.
- If you change your mind and cancel your booking 7 days or more prior to the booking date, you may receive a credit note valued at the price of the rental.
- If you cancel within 7 days of your hire period, the payment is non refundable and no credit note is provided
- If you hire an item without trying it on and are dissatisfied upon receiving it, we cannot provide a refund or credit note. Therefore, we strongly recommend trying on items before hiring.
Store credit
- All store credits are valid for 2 years.
- Credits will be issued via email, the renter must be able to present the credit note when using.
Try-Ons
- Please avoid wearing makeup, fresh tan, or gym attire for try-ons. Remove jewellery during fittings, and note that any staining will incur dry cleaning costs after inspection.
- A makeup protector will be provided for those wearing makeup, and it must be used.
- Dress availability for try-on cannot be guaranteed without prior notice. Please specify the dress name when booking, as it may be unavailable due to rentals, dry cleaning, or being interstate
- You can try on as many items as you like within a 15 or 25 minute session.
- If any damage occurs during your try-on, inform us immediately.
Garment Condition
- We take pride in our collection and maintain a high standard for all our garments. Our priority is ensuring that every item rented meets the highest quality standards for dress hire—we would never rent out anything we wouldn’t wear ourselves.
- Customers should be aware that, due to the nature of dress hire, garments may show minor signs of wear. If you have any concerns about the condition of a dress, please inform us prior to renting.
Garment Care
- Return all items unwashed. We handle all cleaning.
- If items are returned with stains exceeding what is typically removed through hand washing or standard dry cleaning, an additional cleaning fee will be charged based on speciality dry cleaning fees
- The hirer must not alter, modify, or attach anything to the item. Any such alterations will result in charges.
- Attempting to clean minor marks or stains is prohibited as it may cause further damage.
- The hirer is responsible for any loss, theft, damage or destruction of the garment.
- If the Client is notified of additional fees owed to C&A Couture Hire such as damage or late fees, the Client must pay within 3 days.
Delicate Clothing
How to best take care of delicate items:
- Avoid wearing chain bags or crossbody bags that may cause damage.
- Refrain from wearing jewellery (e.g., necklaces, bracelets, or watches) that could catch and pull on the fabric.
- Avoid sitting on rough surfaces, such as limestone.
- If the dress drags on floor whilst walking, ensure you lift dress up whilst walking to prevent staining
- Choose a natural deodorant, as regular deodorants can mix with sweat and leave permanent stains on the fabric.
- Ensure the fake tan is washed off at least 3-4 times before wearing your hire item.
Additional Cleaning Fees
If a garment is returned with marks or stains (as determined by C&A), additional charges may apply. Customers may be charged between $20 and $50 for dry cleaning, depending on the severity of the stain (this fee is determined by our speciality stain dry cleaners)
Damages
- The hirer is responsible for the garment from pick-up to return. This includes ensuring it is not worn by others, protecting it from spills (such as alcohol, food, liquids, oils, and makeup), avoiding contact with mud, dirt, or rough surfaces like limestone, and handling the garment with care at all times
- If the garment is damaged but repairable, as determined by C&A, the hirer will be responsible for covering the repair costs, with an invoice provided.
- Wear and tear, as assessed by C&A, will result in a fee calculated as a percentage of the garment's retail price (RRP), also determined by C&A.
- If the garment is damaged beyond repair, as determined by C&A, the hirer must pay the full RRP in addition to the hire fee> Payment must be made within 2 weeks of the final rental day.
- If the garment is damaged in any way during the try-on session, the client will be responsible for covering the repair or dry cleaning costs. If the damage is beyond repair, the client must pay the full retail price (RRP) of the item.
Pick-Up
- Pick-ups are available on Thursday for Friday hire and Friday for weekend hire. Please provide 24 hours' notice for pick-up arrangements.
- Pick-up is in Highgate, Perth. Address is provided when a pick-up is booked.
- For earlier pick-ups or extended hire periods (over 2-3 days), additional fees may apply.
- As rental pieces may show signs of wear, hirers should inspect the garment at pick-up. Any significant wear or damage will be noted.
Returns
- Items hired on Friday or Saturday must be returned by Sunday at 7pm the latest.
- Items hired on weekdays must be returned within 24 hours.
- Returns are to be made at Highgate, Perth, and must be placed in the designated drop box (details will be provided via text on the morning of the return day). If the item is incorrectly returned or left outside and subsequently stolen, the hirer will be held responsible.
- A late fee of $10 per day will apply to any late returns.
- If the item is not returned within 7 days of the agreed return date, the item is deemed lost and the hirer will be charged the full retail price (RRP) of the garment, in addition to any accrued late fees.
Interstate Hire
- If you are dissatisfied upon receiving the item due to item not meeting expectations, we cannot provide a refund or credit note. We recommend being completely certain about your decision before proceeding with an interstate hire. We are happy to answer any questions related to the item i.e. sizing/fit/sheerness
- We recommend trying on the brand’s sizing at your local distributor or checking the brand's website for sizing measurements
- A deposit (in addition to hire price) may be required, which may be used to cover any additional cleaning or repairs. If the garment is returned in satisfactory condition, the deposit will be refunded.
- C&A will post out dress hires by Monday or Tuesday for weekend hires via express post, with a prepaid return satchel provided. Postage cost is $30 including return.
- C&A is not responsible for postal delays. If the item does not arrive by the expected date, a credit note may be issued, but no refunds will be given.
- Return postage must be completed by Monday at 11am at the latest (Fee applied for late drop offs $20 per day). The hirer is required to visit a local post office to lodge the return and provide C&A with proof of postage (e.g., receipt provided by auspost representative at counter). Returns via street post box are NOT ACCEPTED ($30 fee is applied if dropped at street box). If proof of postage is not provided and the satchel is not returned to C&A by 20 days, dress hire is deemed lost. The hirer will be responsible for the full RRP plus price of dress hire.
